With the huge increase in credit card fraud more and more potential customers are concerned about security when shopping online. There are actions that you can take to make sure that your online shop offers the necessary reassurance. Through our relationship with IMRG (Interactive Media in Retail Group) we can offer you advice in this area.

IMRG is a membership community for the e-retail industry promoting retail industry standards and best practices, whose vision is to maximise the commercial potential of online shopping.

ISIS (Internet Shopping is Safe) has been developed by IMRG as a scheme to help to improve consumer confidence when buying online. Scheme members include many high street brands as well as smaller unbranded retailers and IMRG runs the scheme on behalf of the industry.

‘You’re Approved’ Banners

You can place one of our banners on your website (home page or links section) which will show that you are an approved siteguide.com retailer.  They are available in black and blue/cream and black and there are several sizes, 120 x 60; 120 x 120 and 480 x 60.  Please email phd@thesiteguide.com and these will be sent over. 

Sponsored Listings and Promotions – siteguide advertising

We are now offering retailers the opportunity for increased promotion within thesiteguide.com through banner ads, sponsored listings, newsletters, e-shots and home page feature reviews.  If you would be interested in more information please contact us for a rate card at:  phd@thesiteguide.com.

Special Offers

When you run a special offer please tell us and we will put it in with your review which will be highlighted with our Red Star icon.  This way our subscribers are able to immediately pick the sites with special offers and deals.

The Books

In print, there are The Shopaholic’s Guides to Buying Online - written by Patricia Davidson, founder of thesiteguide.com - all of which have been in the top five in their category on the bestsellers lists at amazon.co.uk. Published by Capstone/John Wiley there are four currently in publication; the main 2008 directory plus the handbag sized guides for Fashion and Beauty, Mother and Child and Gorgeous Gifts. You may already have been included in one of these.

A retailer listed on thesiteguide.com is not automatically included in one of the books although every effort to synchronise the two is made. There are two books to be launched later this year.  The Gift Book, which will be a beautifully produced hardback book and The Shopaholic’s Guide to Buying Online 2009, which will be the top 1000 retail websites.
