With its huge range of products at different price levels and the excellent service it offers this would be a very good place to set up your list (or part of your list, obviously you don't have to have it all in one place). You can register either online or at your local store but you need to actually select the items for your list in store, after which it can all be handled online.

Lay and Wheeler

Lay and Wheeler offer a traditional and personal wedding list service whether you'd prefer to be given wine to drink immediately or looking to start a cellar plan. Their wines can be viewed either online and once you've made your selection, the list can be set up and despatched either by post or via e-mail. This is a list of everything you may want to consider putting in your wedding list. They'll then give you as much or as little help as you want in compiling your wedding list. They are based in Scotland, which may or not be perfect for you to visit. If not you can call them and ask that they send their brochures out to you so you can see if you'd like to keep your list with them.

At The Wedding Shop you have the option of visiting one of their two South London showrooms, where you can use their advisors to help you compile your list from a huge range of brands such as Bridgewater, Alessi, Christophle, Jasper Conran, Lalique and William Yeoward, or alternatively you can compile your list online from their fully illustrated selection if you're unable to visit them. They'll help you make sure you don't end up with too much of one thing and not enough of another. Delivery is free within central London and there's a small charge for elsewhere.

To start with you need to visit one of their showrooms, either in Battersea, London, or West Harling, Norfolk and for both you need to make an appointment. Once you've selected your list, with as much help and advice as you want, they endeavour to provide you with a copy of it within just a couple of days. After you've made sure you're happy with the list your guests can purchase from it online or by phone or email.
