Skyscanner - Flights Online with Hotels and Car Hire

Skyscanner - Flights Online with Hotels and Car Hire

Skyscanner is one of the best places to check out flights online and an excellent flight and travel comparison website.  We're all booking our flights online right now, it's quite simply the fastest way to get to where you want to go, so Skyscanner is well worth checking out.

Even if you think  you know the airline you want to travel with it's worth looking at all the online flights availability here first and then if you want clicking through to the airline direct. Skyscanner is fast and easy to use with a clear interface unlike some other cluttered comparison websites.

You can see lots of options on one page, click on the one you want and then go through to the relevant vendor to book.

There are lots of places you can compare flights online, hotels and car hire online, but this one seems one of the easiest to use.

Easyjet

Easyjet

The no frills airline with a wide choice of flights to an increasing number of destinations. To get the best deals you need to be able to book ahead (and preferably be willing to get up early in the morning). There are some fantastic deals to be found here however the less flexible you are and the nearer your flight date the more likely you will be to find as good a price on another airline. It's always worth a check here, although the luggage constraints are tougher than on some other airlines and there's little food on board.

Lastminute.com

Lastminute.com

On this well known and multitasking website you can compare flight prices, book hotels and car hire plus restaurants, theatres, sporting events and much more, including hotel, flight and fixture tickets for Rugby in Sydney or dinner for two at The Ritz in London. Personally I think that some of the choice is a little overwhelming but lastminute.com frequently offers very good prices plus the facility to link together different outward and inward bound flights, which some other websites do not.

Ryanair

Ryanair

Another cheap and cheerful airline (and a cheap and cheerful site) offering many special offers particularly to more unusual destinations such as Brescia, Carcasonne and Dinard. As with all of the budget price airlines you need to be very careful how much your bag weighs as you'll certainly be asked to pay extra if you're over the weight limit. Also there's very little food on board - you may want to take your own.

Tripadvisor

Tripadvisor

Filled with USG (User Generated Content) and links to where you can book, this is the place for unfiltered personal views on hotels and places to visit with visitors’ own photographs, so those hotels trying to hide behind professionally taken pics and their own reviews can no longer do so. It’s important to look at all the reviews for a specific place and not just go by the one or two exceptionally bad or good ones, and the average ratings will tell you more than anything else, provided there are enough, of course.
