As with everything at The White Company, the photographs of the baby and childrenswear are so beautifully presented that you just want to stop and buy it all, from the gorgeous rompers and baby grows, the tiny ‘yeti’ boots and ballet slippers and enchanting pyjamas (sorry, I know that enchanting is a word I’ve used a lot in this section, for obvious reasons) to baby shawls and blankets and the superb range of bedroom furniture. All beautiful and not overpriced; how can you resist?
Aston’s don’t offer a wide range but the boys’ pyjamas in dark blue with satin piping and embroidered knight and the girls Chinese style pjs and those embroidered with ballet slippers are really attractive. There are excellent kids bathrobes and embroidered (or personalised) towels here as well
At Bon Nuit you’ll find beautifully made children’s clothing and nightwear made from high quality Swiss cotton. The designs are really pretty – think traditional nightdresses embroidered with pansies, lilies and butterflies, floral jacquard and silk appliquéd pyjamas, soft terry embroidered bathrobes and towels and cute t-shirts and shorts. They’ll ship worldwide and at time of writing delivery is free if you spend over £75.
I have no idea which of these websites came first (this or bon-nuit) but there are some really great things here as well, from 12 months to 10 years, including brushed cotton striped pyjamas, pretty lace trimmed and embroidered nightdresses, children’s bathrobes and baby hooded towels and baby gift ideas. There’s a gift wrap service and delivery (at time of writing) is £3 to anywhere in the world.
Butterfly and floral embroidered pyjamas, nightdresses with seed pearls, pintucks, ribbon and embroidered fairies are just some of the lovely things you’ll find here, which are quite unexpectedly well priced as well. Everything is made in 100% cotton and despatched in a presentation bag, so you’ll find some good gift ideas here too.
This is a small range of pretty and fun printed kid’s pyjamas for girls and boys up to age ten. Designs range from robots, cowboys and fire engines for boys and nursery rhymes, cherries and scottie dogs for girls. There are summer pjs with shorts and simply styled children’s kaftans here too. Everything is very well priced and they offer a gift wrap service.
You know those old fashioned pjs with personalised embroidery on the pocket, well this is where you can buy them for kids, so choose from plain Oxford blue, stripe, pink bubble or plain pink; just tell them the name you’d like embroidered and they’ll do it for you. Sizes go from real tinies up to 11 years. They also offer (and you can have personalised too) cushions, blankets, duvet covers and hot water bottle covers and more.
Sleepheads offer seven themes in their 100% cotton range; Ballerinas, Flowers, Sea, Space, Zoo, Racecars and Cowboys as pyjamas, sleepsuits and nightdresses (depending on the print) in all of them plus bedding, chairs, floor cushions, curtains, stickers and lots of other ideas depending on the print. You can order handcrafted children’s bedroom furniture here too and check back for the launch of their new daywear range.
Click through to this website and then to Children’s Bathrobes to find a small but attractive and well priced range in cotton velour, cotton towelling and organic cotton velour. Just about anything you order here (and there are some great towels and adult’s bathrobes as well) can be personalised with an embroidered name, initials or message of up to 20 characters
Although they do offer other children’s clothes here I have to confess that I was so taken with the nightwear that I thought this was the right place for you to read about this website. They offer pink spotty and wonderfully stripy brushed cotton pjs, traditional soft white cotton night dresses and Amish style dark blue and white check dressing gowns. Some items go up to age 10 and others stop at about 4.
Yes this really is a slipper store, where everything is very reasonably priced and there’s a good range for kids. You know that moment when slippers have been the last thing you’re thinking of and your little one says ‘I have no slippers, we need to go out and get some (usually at your busiest moment), well this store solves that problem straight away – there are loads of styles in a wide range of sizes for everyone.
