Rick Stein accredited Andy Race has been supplying quality fish to many of Scotland’s most prestigious hotels for over twenty five years and now you can order for yourselves online, from organic (and undyed) peat smoked salmon, kippers and smokies to hake, mackerel, sole and more. He also offers hot smoked langoustines, mussels and oysters and taster packs of the most popular products so although you can’t exactly ‘try before you buy’ you don’t have to invest too heavily to start with.
At the Inverawe Smokehouse you'll find classic smoked salmon and trout. Smoked Wild Atlantic salmon (delicious and more expensive than farmed salmon), gifts, hampers and gourmet boxes. In their deli section they offer smoked pates, cod's roe and salmon and lumpfish caviar. As well as the above, hiding in the 'Larder' section, you'll find beef and pies, shortbread and fruit cakes, pickles, chutneys and jellies and cheeses.
Here you can choose from over two hundred kinds of fish and seafood, delivered frozen. There's every fish you could possibly want, from organic salmon to Dover sole, turbot and tuna plus wild smoked salmon, gigantic prawns and dived scallops. They also have a range of fish recipe books and accessories such as a fish kettle and claw crackers. Deliveries are twice a week on Wednesday and Friday, delivery is £5 on orders from £65-£100 and free after that.
Fowey fish are retail and wholesale fishmongers. Fresh fish and shellfish come into their shop every day and they operate a nationwide mail order service for fresh fish, shellfish and some specialist fine wines including the much sought after and hard to find Cloudy Bay.
