Ciel carefully selects environmentally and ethically produced fabrics and production throughout the design and making process to produce a range that is tempting to say the least, and they include the smallest details such as garment labels and hang tags within their policies. Karen Cole is a New Zealand designer specialising in using mainly natural fibres and ethically sourced fine New Zealand merino wool. She offers an extremely pretty and wearable collection of dresses and separates in contemporary colours and prints which is much more fashion forward than many of the 'natural' collections.
The aim at Amana is to combine beautiful design with ethical production practices and all their garments are made by women artisans in a village perched high in the Middle Atlas Mountains in Morocco. The collection is beautifully designed and includes printed tops and dresses, tailoring and tops in clever blends of silk, cotton, hemp and tencel.
